First post! Welcome to my newest page. I am creating this page to share all the bits of motherhood that I find stimulating, thought provoking and most importantly, hilarious. I hope you will enjoy the things I post. If you do, please share this page with other parents who would also enjoy it.

I suppose I should share a little bit about myself. I Love God and try to pursue him daily.  I’m a 34 year old mother of two.  My son was born in October of 2011 and my daughter in December of 2016.  I work 30 hours a week as an education director for an environmental education nonprofit called Harbor WildWatch.  In my spare time, I ride horses, garden and attempt arts and crafts and home improvement projects with varying levels of success. 

I’m deeply in love and married to my high school sweetheart for 10 years (and counting.)  On my side of the family, I’m the only one with children.  On my husband’s side, I have 3 nieces and 1 nephew.  My parents are divorced.  Three out of four of my grandparents have died, two of them in the last year.  I’ve had a miscarriage and walked the path of secondary infertility. 

As for my parenting style: I believe in grace, setting expectations, learning at all times, and having fun.  I want my children to know they are loved by God, their parents and their community.  I want them to feel supported by and connected to the people in their lives.  I think you have to laugh or you might cry.  I lean on my husband and other moms, and I’m blessed to have a caring community, both in person and online. 

And because it is the internet, and we cant have anything nice without rules, I will say that mom-shaming, overly negative, hostile and inappropriate comments will be deleted.  Play nice or don’t play at all.
